Jess Fox, MS, AMHC, BHP, PMH-C
I became a licensed counselor in 2012, but my journey started long before that. I fell in love with the idea of supporting others for a living working at residential treatment center for teens in 2009 in beautiful St. George, Utah. Through my internships I was mentored by some incredible humans including Geoff Steurer, Jeff Ford, Amy Cluff, & Sandi Burningham.
Since then, I’ve had two wonderful children who are my world. My professional experience spans private practice Family Strategies, outpatient and inpatient care Aurora, outpatient services Seek Arizona, directing the Intake Department Haven Behavioral Health, and mental health intake at a State Prison in Arizona.
My personal and professional experiences have fueled my passions and shaped my specialties. In 2022, I became Certified in Perinatal Mental Health through Postpartum Support International. I’m deeply committed to helping women navigate mental health challenges during pregnancy and postpartum.
My therapeutic approach is grounded in attachment and systems theory. I’ve trained in Emotionally Focused Therapy, Mindfulness & Self-Compassion, Trauma-Informed Yoga, and Brainspotting, Art Therapy, among others.
First and foremost, I’m human. I’ve suffered. I know how hard it can be to reach out and find the right fit.
I’ve sat across from inmates serving life sentences helping them process their trauma. I’ve played on the floor with families in an inpatient hospital unit. I’ve sat beside a mother with a newborn in her arms as she battled suicidal thoughts. I’ve seen and done a lot.
Nothing is going to scare me. I don’t judge. I see you, and I’ve got you.
I empower my clients to heal by reconnecting with their intuition, their voice, and their own resilient spirit. I’m just a guide. I’m not better than you—I am you. We just happen to be in different roles when you sit across from me.
If you feel brave enough to reach out, I value our connection.
This work isn’t just my job—it’s my life’s work. A calling.
The light in me honors the light in you.
